The Staff

Simon Ager - Managing Director and Chief Instructor

From the initial idea, as a child, of building a climbing wall, Simon has now realised his dream!  After months and months of preparation, blood, sweat and tears, the climbing centre is now live!  Simon has a passion for the outdoors, which has had a major impact on his life.  In his spare time he is a keen ice climber and mountaineer, eager to explore the greater ranges,  but can often be found climbing on the rock outcrops around Great Britain.

 

 Alex Fry - Centre Manager, Instructor, and Route Setter

Alex lives and breathes climbing!  He is an exceptional climber with expert skills and it is amazing to watch him scaling the walls with a grace and elegance that we all aspire to achieve.   He has set the majority of our brand new climbing routes and boulder problems,  and he will continually be changing and adding to  these to provide challenges for everyone!  Alex has been the Centre Manager at the Bear Rock for over 2 years now, so we are very proud to welcome him to the team.

 

Tom Delaney - Instructor and Student Liason

Tom is a senior instructor at the Pinnacle and is the student liaison manager. After a short career in bodybuilding Tom has seen the light and is now addictedto climbing. He is CWA qualified and has a lot of experience of working with young people with disabilities.

 

Harry Turner - Instructor and Events Coordinator

Kate Casey-Green - Instructor

Kate has been instructing for Pinnacle Challenge for several years. The recent completion of her PhD has earned her the moniker 'Doc'. Kate is our main instructor for the kids club. 

  

Penny -  Admin

Penny is our lovely administrator and odd one out, as she likes to keep her feet firmly on the ground!   Her passions are racquet sports and Nordic Walking.  She will often be your first point of contact when you phone or email to enquire about the facilities, courses, parties and prices here at The Pinnacle, and although Penny hides away in the back office a lot of the time, she will often be found looking after reception and greeting newcomers to The Pinnacle.
