The Staff

Simon Ager - Managing Director and Centre Manager

From the initial idea, as a child, of building a climbing wall, Simon has now realised his dream!  After months and months of preparation, blood, sweat and tears, the climbing centre is now live!  Simon has a passion for the outdoors, which has had a major impact on his life.  In his spare time he is a keen ice climber and mountaineer, eager to explore the greater ranges,  but can often be found climbing on the rock outcrops around Great Britain.

Tom Delaney - Centre Manager

Tom is the Centre Manager at the Pinnacle and is the student liaison for schools, colleges and other groups. After a short career in bodybuilding Tom has seen the light and is now addicted to climbing. He is CWA qualified and has a lot of experience of working with young people with disabilities.

Cindy Masters - Assistant Duty Manager/RockeeZ Manager

 Cindy has been working for the centre for over 2 years, she is the new RockeeZ Manager and is around most of the time to answer any questions you have. She loves climbing and is CWA with CWLA trained.

Carl Dolman - Senior Instructor

Sian Lund - Instructor

Sian is a full time instructor here at The Pinnacle Climbing Centre, and works closely with our Rockeez Kids Club every weekend. A keen boulderer, she has spent a great deal of time travelling, having visited most of Western Europe and spent time living in America and Holland (this explains her strange accent!).

Matt Broadhurst - Instructor

  

Matt is one of our full time instructors here at The Pinnacle Climbing Centre, and you can usually find him working most evenings and weekends. Matt is super passionate about climbing and training hard, an enthusiam he shares when leading the sessions on our Rockeez Kids Clubs and beginners courses. He's super psyched for the summer and climbing outside, and you can usually find him staring into space deciding whether he is really a boulderer or a routes man....he still doesnt know.

Alex Shaw - Cafe Manager/Chief

Penny -  Admin

Penny is our lovely administrator and odd one out, as she likes to keep her feet firmly on the ground!   Her passions are racquet sports and Nordic Walking.  She will often be your first point of contact when you phone or email to enquire about the facilities, courses, parties and prices here at The Pinnacle, and although Penny hides away in the back office a lot of the time, she will often be found looking after reception and greeting newcomers to The Pinnacle.

 

 Gypsy - Top Dog

 

Gypsy is a Boarder Terrier X, just over a year old. She loves to have cuddles and is more than happy to give you a wash. Her life story is that she was abandoned at 4 weeks old and Cindy and Simon rescued her at 8 weeks from the RSPCA. She had a hernia between her legs when she was rescued, which has now been sorted, and is very happy to cause more mischief than the staff. Her favourite things are squeeky toys and plastic, she loves to jump and any receive attention that is given to her.  

 

Alex Fry - Route Setter

Alex lives and breathes climbing!  He is an exceptional climber with expert skills and it is amazing to watch him scaling the walls with a grace and elegance that we all aspire to achieve.   He has set the majority of our brand new climbing routes and boulder problems,  and he will continually be changing and adding to  these to provide challenges for everyone!
