The Pinnacle Birthday Bash

In July the Pinnacle centre will be 1yr old, so we're having a party and you're all invited!

There will be a full day of activities to look forward to, with something for everyone. 

Date - Sunday 10th July

Time - All day, (9:00am onwards)

Price - £10, (entry for pass holders £2.50)

Prizes - The competition is being sponsored by Evolv, Metolius, Wild Country, Red Chilli, and Lyon equipment, with the prize pool now being worth over £600.

Whats included in the price - Entry to the centre and all the various competitions, (see below for more details of what's going on).

 

Bouldering comp - There will be a bouldering competition running all day.  The format will be the same as the winter bouldering league, (get a score card from reception and mark down your attempts yourself).  There will be 30 problems in total and will range from very easy to very hard so there will be something for everyone.  If you are asking yourself "should I enter, will I be able to do any of the problems?", then the answer is yes you should and yes you will! 

Dyno comp - For those that don't know what a dyno is its basically the climbing equivalent of the high jump.  Two big starting hand holds, two big starting footholds, and a big finishing jug that get moved progressively further away.  Chris Davies holds the current Pinnacle dyno record, come and see if you can beat it! 

Speed climbing comp - One very easy route on a vertical wall, climbed on top rope its a race to the top.   Fastest time wins.  Simple.  

Raffle routes - Basically a raffle but you have to climb routes to get your tickets. 

Junior climbing comp - There will be a junior climbing comp, with routes and boulder problems.  The routes will be top rope only and there will be categories for complete beginners.
